Got skin damage?

The skin is made up of three distinct cell layers. The epidermis is the outermost layer, the dermis is the middle layer and the subcutaneous tissue (fat is here). The epidermis is in direct contact with the external environment and therefore plays a vital role as a barrier against all sorts of aggression. In normal individuals, each cell is replaced by a new one. Usually this renewal process takes about 28 days.

Melanocytes are special skin cells that produce melanin (pigment) when they are exposed to ultraviolet light in sunlight. The pigment absorbs UV radiation in sunlight and helps to protect skin cells from UV radiation damage. When the pigment does this protection reaction, a lot of melanins are made, and stay in the skin, which looks darker skin. This is how you are sunburned on the skin

Who likes wrinkles? The dermis is the middle layer of the skin composed primarily of collagen and elastic, which provide strength and elasticity to the skin. Blood vessels, nerves, hair follicles, oil glands and sweat glands locate here. The third layer, the subcutaneous tissue, serves as insulation and calorie reservoir. Sunburn destroys cells in the outer layer of the skin and damages tiny blood vessels underneath. Burns deeper into the skin layers also damage elastic fibers in the skin, which over time and with repeated sun overexposure, can result in the appearance of yellowish, wrinkled skin.

How to look younger is one of the biggest issue. Nobody wants to get old or look old. "Wrinkles" makes you look older and "wrinkle free" makes you look younger. This theory is very obvious but unfortunately, wrinkles appear automatically on the face as we grow up. We are becoming very cautious about wrinkles recently. Whenever we think about makeover face value we always consider a person face that is wrinkle free, and looks younger than its actual age.
Let's learn about wrinkles, how wrinkles appear on the skin....

The main reason having wrinkles is lack of moisture in the middle layer of our skin. It is known as dermis, the top layer of our skin carries the reflection and contains fibers named Elastin and a protein known as Collagen, both of them prevent wrinkles and allow the skin to have that young,

As we grow older this protein starts reducing and lowers the capacity of holding sufficient moisture in the middle layer. Due to the lack of moisture and protein in the middle layer, the elasticity of our skin starts disappearing and wrinkles appear.
There are several other factors behind wrinkles. These below are root cause.

  • Smoking cigarette, even being surrounded by smokers
  • Exposure to the sun long
  • Lacking of moisture
  • Damaging the dermis
  • Hormonal imbalance
Premature wrinkles are the lines on the skin and appear at early age. Smoking cigarettes, cigars or taking tobacco always harm your skin. Too much intake of tobacco reduces the moisture of our skin and its elasticity. You will find smokers with wrinkles on their face, especially around their mouths and under their eyes. Smoking also delays wound healing. In a study of 120 women undergoing laparotomy (exploratory surgery), women who smoked had poorer scars compared to non-smokers. And it has been found that people who work or live with smokers may develop the same kind of skin damage as smokers themselves, although not as badly.

For Moisturizing. Avoid direct Sunlight. Staying under the sun for a long time can damage your skin. The moisture in the dermis may reduce and create wrinkles on the face and other parts of the body which are also exposed by the sun. So try to avoid the habit of staying under the sun. If your job needs spending time outdoor then wear a  hat and apply a sunscreen cream.

Sun exposure also damage to your DNA?
The damage to skin cells from UV exposure  can also include damage to your DNA. Repeating DNA damage can lead to a cell becoming cancerous. With the incidence of skin cancer rising dangerously in many parts of the world, and with its ability to develop and establish itself in the body "long" before external signs are detected, paying attention to this aspect of sun exposure and sunburn should certainly not be ignored if we are serious about preserving our health.

Sunscreen chemicals? You may be allergic to one of the chemicals that protects against UV radiation from the sun or to a preservative in the formulation. When you see the word hypoallergenic (Greek prefix hypo meaning "below" or "less"), you will be relieved but actually it does not guarantee a skin care product is safe for everyone. It's just fewer allergic reactions in allergy sufferers.
Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are the common ingredients of sunscreens. They react with skin to form an absorbent barrier against UV rays. When they does this reaction, they can be irritating sensitive skin.
